The portable roughness meter is used to measure the roughness of surfaces. This tool has an external sensor to determine the surface roughness in small or narrow profiles. The device has an LCD touch screen that allows to read the measurement values. It is powered by an internal battery that is charged via a USB mains adapter. The external sensor is connected to the central unit of the roughness meter and has a diamond tip that exerts a pressure of 4N on the surface to be measured. This tool meets ISO, ANSI, JIS roughness standards. The roughness parameters obtained are: Rz, Ra, Rt and Rq. The mean roughness depth Rz is the arithmetic mean of the largest roughness depths. The arithmetic mean roughness value Ra is the arithmetic mean value of the profile variations within the measurement section. Manufactured by PCE, with reference PCE-RT 2300
