Surface mount technology, better known by its acronym SMD (Surface Mount Device) is the method of construction of electronic devices most currently used. It is used for both active and passive components, and is based on the assembly thereof SMC (Surface Mount Component English) on the surface of the printed circuit. VAC would be the abbreviation of Volt Altern Current which would be translated Volts of alternating current. The difference between VDC is that its sinusoidal oscillation achieving a more efficient energy transmission.
