The beer refractometer offers the user great versatility. It is equipped with an LCD screen for a clear and precise reading of the measurement values. The user can select between two different measurement units: Brix (0 to 50.00%) and D20/20 or relative density (1,000 to 1,130). The light source integrated in the refractometer prevents measurement errors that occur when using an analog refractometer due to artificial light such as fluorescent lamps. To obtain a meaningful result, it is sufficient to place a few drops of the liquid in the stainless steel sample cavity of the refractometer. This allows the brewer to know the sugar content in the original wort and thus determine the potential alcohol content of the beer that will be produced. After performing temperature compensation (10 ... 40 ºC), the measurement value is displayed quickly and accurately on the easy-to-read LCD display of the beer refractometer.
