More info

The Ford Viscosity Cup is a viscosity measuring device for low viscous liquids. It is designed according to international standards ASTM D1200, D333 and D365. The cup body is made of machined anodized aluminum with an interchangeable stainless steel spout. Measurement is done by pouring the liquid until the cup is full. Using a glass plate, excess liquid is removed and the mouthpiece is opened. A timer is started and stopped when the flow is first interrupted. It is very important to clean the cup after each use to prevent debris from affecting future measurements. You also have to be careful with scratches, as they can modify the volume of the cup and make it not comply with DIN standards. Manufactured by PCE with reference PCE-125/5.

DIN
The DIN is a standard that was developed by the "Deutsches Institut für Normung" (one might call the national standards organization in Germany). The DIN is facing many sectors, but we have tried to focus on the DIN-oriented electronics and computing. In the case of Enclosures means qualifying under the German legislation on racks and is standardized to DIN 41494-7.
