The ultrasonic flowmeter is a portable measurement system used to determine the flow in a pipeline. This technique is based on transit time methodology, which is used to measure flow velocity and discharge. The operation of the flowmeter is very simple. It takes less time to measure flow upstream than against it, so as flow increases, transit time decreases. To measure the flow rate, two electro-acoustic transducers are placed in the displaced longitudinal direction on the sides of the pipe. These transducers emit and receive ultrasonic impulses through the medium. It can be easily installed on metal, plastic and rubber pipes. Liquids that can be measured with this technique include acetate, acetone, peanut oil, linseed oil, olive oil, motor oil, paraffin oil, silicone oil, transformer oil , alcohol, ethyl alcohol, methyl alcohol, ammonia, terpentine, distilled water, salt water, etc. Manufactured by PCE with reference PCE-TDS 100HSH+.
