More info
The sclerometer is a robust meter designed to determine the hardness of concrete. It is based on the rebound principle and offers easy handling, ideal for testing elements with a thickness of up to 100 mm. It is an accurate and reliable measuring instrument, and is delivered factory calibrated, although an optional ISO calibration certificate can be requested. The sclerometer measures the hardness of the concrete from the initial rebound kinetic energy, with an impact energy of 0.735 J. The concrete's resistance to pressure is represented by a series of numbers and letters. For example, B 25 means that it is a normal concrete with a pressure resistance of 25 N/mm², with higher resistance classes going up to B 55. A conversion table is included on the back of the sclerometer to facilitate the concrete classification. The sclerometer is mainly used in the construction sector, but it is also used in other sectors such as checking the hardness of windings. It is an ideal instrument to measure the quality of concrete, since it offers a guideline value to check the load capacity and durability of concrete constructions. Manufactured by PCE with reference PCE-HT-75.
