More info
The Belt Tension Gauge is an optical measuring device designed to accurately measure belt tension. It is made up of a handheld unit and a sensor connected to a semi-rigid probe. To get the results, a small impulse with a hammer is required to vibrate the belt. The sensor detects the eigenfrequency and the value is displayed on the graphic display in Hz. In addition, tension values in Newtons can be calculated if belt length and mass data are provided. The belt tension gauge allows you to switch between N (International System of Units) and Pound-Force (Anglo-Saxon System of Units). The device includes an intuitive graphic menu with six different languages, as well as a memory to store up to 750 values, divided into 15 files of 50 values each. This allows optimal quality control. Manufactured by PCE with reference PCE-BTM 2000.

One hertz is one cycle per second, meaning repeating cycle as an event. For example, hertz is applied physics measuring the number of times for a second wave (either acoustic or electromagnetic) is repeated or can be applied, among other uses, to ocean waves that reach the Beach vibrations per second or a solid. The quantity that measures the frequency hertz is called,in this regard, the inverse of the period. One hertz is an oscillation frequency of suffering a particle over a period of one second.
