The mechanical sclerometer is a rebound measurement tool, used mainly in the construction sector and other industrial sectors. This concrete strength testing tool is based on the rebound principle, with a constant test energy of 2,207 J. This initial rebound kinetic energy is used as a measure of concrete hardness, surface pressure, or of the resistance to pressure (kg/cm² or its conversion to N/mm²). The quality of the concrete is evaluated according to its resistance to pressure, since it is considered an indicative parameter to determine the load capacity and durability of concrete structures. This resistance is expressed by a series of letters and numbers. For example, B 25 means a normal concrete with a pressure resistance of 25 N/mm². These values range from B 25 to B 55, which is the highest resistance class. With the sclerometer you can classify concrete quickly, easily and accurately. The sclerometer is delivered already calibrated from the factory. Manufactured by PCE with reference PCE-HT-225A.
