The portable roughness meter is an accurate device for measuring surface roughness. It uses a piezoelectric micro-probe principle, like high-precision laboratory instruments. It is equipped with a large backlit OLED display for easy reading of measurement data. The roughness meter measures the roughness in an exact way, in order to determine the values of Ra, Rz, Rq and Rt. These values are obtained from the arithmetic average of the greatest consecutive singular depths in the measurement length, the average value of roughness, the maximum depth of the roughness and the root mean square value of all ordered values in the measurement section l. The roughness meter is an easy-to-use device with high repeatability accuracy for determining roughness values. Manufactured by PCE, with reference PCE-RT 11.
