With a rich history dating back to 1882, Knipex has been a benchmark in the manufacture of pliers and precision tools. Founded by C. Gustav Putsch as a forge, the company has evolved over time to become a global leader in the industry. From humble beginnings focused on manufacturing pliers and blacksmith's tongs, Knipex has experienced steady growth under the vision of Carl Putsch, who registered the "Knipex" trademark in 1942. Innovation has been central to the company's evolution, and especially since the 1950s, new types of pliers have been continuously added to the program, from combination pliers to side cutters and specialized pliers for electrical, plumbing and electronic applications. Knipex has a wide range of approximately 100 types of pliers and more than 900 different variations in length, shape and finish. These pliers range from common applications to specialized tools for cutting, stripping and crimping, including solutions for aerospace, solar energy technology and fibre optics.
