More info
The dynamometer is ideal for precisely and accurately measuring tensile and compressive forces in the laboratory. It is equipped with an external load cell and a 6 m long cable with M20 thread to connect it to the device. Its sampling frequency is up to 1600 Hz, allowing the measurement results to be displayed in numerical and graphic form directly on the LCD screen. In addition, the data can be saved in the internal memory or transferred to a PC via a USB interface with a maximum frequency of 800 Hz. The included software makes it easy to work with the obtained data. The device also has IP54 protection to be able to be used in unfavorable industrial environments. For convenience, two limit values can be set for each measurement, which are continuously compared with the current measurement value. If the limit threshold is exceeded, a signal is generated on the display of the dynamometer and also a signal through an external interface, allowing the control of a control machine. Manufactured by PCE with reference PCE-DFG N 50K.

- IP Protection
The IP54 standard is an international technical rating that specifies the degree of protection for electrical enclosures against external ingress.
This nomenclature is split into two digits. The first digit (5) indicates dust protection: ingress is not entirely prevented, but it must not enter in an amount that interferes with correct operation. The second digit (4) ensures that water splashed from any angle at an average of 10 liters per minute and 80-100kN/m² pressure for at least 5 minutes does not enter the equipment.
| Digit | Level | Technical Protection |
|---|---|---|
| 1st (Solids) | 5 | Protection against harmful dust deposits. |
| 2nd (Liquids) | 4 | Protection against splashing water from any direction. |
In modern hardware design, IP54 is vital for industrial devices and edge computing nodes, providing a balance between environmental shielding and thermal management efficiency.
Technical Verification
Testing protocols ensure that the enclosure prevents ingress that would compromise electrical safety or component performance.
Key Advantages
- Operational stability in dusty environments.
- Resilience against incidental water splashes.
- Extended hardware lifespan in harsh conditions.
Ensures reliability under standard industrial working conditions.
